Ideas and possibilities for photo gallery software
I need a new photo gallery setup. What I have now works, but isn't flexible for my workflow.
What I need
Light-weight clicking/keyscrolling? through pictures.
Really simple user input, as simple as
Tristan Campbell's.
At least separate galleries, but it may as well be generic tagging.
Hidable EXIF/Bibble/Tag info.
Multiple versions of each picture? Each with Bibble info and comments, and comparable by mouse-over.
Customizable.
Polling?
What I have found out there
JAlbum Java-based album, not entirely LGPL, but still heavily modifiable. Many different and beautiful skins. Some have shopping, some have tagging, some (seem to) have user comments. Not examples of multi-version images.
Gallery Smaller, but more Linuxoid. Has user commeting, polling and galleries, no tagging. Fully open source and modular. I will now be
TestingGallerySoftware.
TriVista For money, and primitive.
Lightbox Photo Commercial. Tagging, no comments.
Absolute Image Gallery Windows only.
